I know I said I would do a podcast on this, but I think it is simpler than that and you can simply read it for yourself and see pictures. If you will click on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1967_USS_Forrestal_fire and read the story and look at the drawing on the right hand side, you will see that McCain was on the opposite side of the deck from where the bomb was discharged and came at him. Jeff says the bomb came from him. It is an out and out lie for him to say that and I am wholly disgusted by it.
You will note it was on July 29, 1967 and 134 men were killed and 161 injured. John McCain was hurt and nearly killed in this accident. This Zuni bomb also went off on another ship in 1969 in the exact same manner.
Therefore, since Jeff refuses to apologize for this despicable lie, I am forced to point this out to you. Please read the story and see for yourself. I have read this story from several sites and it is the same. John McCain is a true American hero and Jeff should be ashamed of himself.

Thanks for writing this comment. I have waited, hoping others would chime in, but unfortunately, no one else has. I have spoken to Jeff on this several times and he is adamant that McCain did this horrible thing and will not apologize. Jeff reads these conspiracy websites that spill this poisonous bile and he in turn spouts it. He is a typical democrat who gets a hold of talking points and follows them to the T and refuses to actually check facts.
You may think I am being hard on Jeff, but I tell him this all the time. I simply cannot allow a treasonous statement to go unchallenged. Again, I thank you for stepping up and I wish others would as well. Take care of yourself.

Why does Jeff not respond here to comments that are directed to him?? This might help in getting more people to respond, if someone directs something to you, I've noticed that you reply back to them, therefore why does JKeff ignore his listeners?
Jeff is still trying to figure out how to read! ;-> In all seriousness, he rarely checks in. I think last week was his first stop here. Jeff says adamantly that he will not apologize for this complete fabrication besmirching a man who has stood so long and proud for his country. Jeff is wrong, he KNOWS he is wrong, but he will not apologize because it will make him look weak I think he believes. I have demanded an apology several times and he will not do it. However, I refuse to allow a lie go like that unchallenged. I will e-mail him directly and you can too at pudee1@charter.net and see if you are any better at getting him to do right than I have been.
